A Year of New Opportunities
If we had to give 2017 a title, it would be The Year of New Opportunities. It was a year of opportunity in the real estate industry, as we experienced a vibrant market defined by low inventory. We see opportunities expanding in 2018 as inventories increase and expect a more balanced environment.
Southern Oregon remains one of the top areas in the country for quality of life, full of opportunities to enjoy our outdoor living, wine destinations, e-living, and outstanding small-town life.
According to recently released data from Oregon’s Office of Economic Analysis, population growth has not quite topped out, but it has slowed. In 2017 the Rogue Valley’s population increased by 1.4%, as people from other states continue to seek all that Southern Oregon offers.
It was an exciting year of forward motion and change for our team. The most notable: our new company name, The Gibson Group, thus the updated branding. A new name and new look is more than just a facelift, it’s an opportunity to consider those things that make us who we are as a company and how we apply that.
We have also implemented a new system that allows us to track and analyze our marketing so we can use the strategies that get a good response and retire those that don’t! Making what we do even more effective.
